Ehtan Scott Choat

I can't believe it has been 5 weeks already since Ethan Scott Choat joined our family.
Time has flown by so fast I haven't even had time to think straight.

Here is a little bit of my birth story... It was a lot easier and MUCH faster then Chloe.
January 11th, I went in for a routine prenatal appointment. My blood pressure was threw the roof so they sent me to Labor and Delivery to be monitored. I had been in pain and miserable the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy ( more like the last half of my pregnancy, but truly miserable the last 3 weeks) so I think my body was just telling me and our midwife it had had enough.
Mike and Chloe had come with me to the appointment as we knew it was essentially my last appointment before Ethan made his grand entrance. So, Mike had to bring Chloe to my parents house and in the mean time, My midwife stripped my membranes and before Mike had gotten back I was dilated to a 4. Started at a 2-3 and in an hour progressed that much.
Stripping of the membranes was the most excruciating pain I had ever gone threw. I would give birth 100 times over before having that done again.
Anyway, they had me walk to halls for about an hour to get me far enough along to admit me.
It was about 6ish that I was admitted and things were moving fast until I stayed dilated at a 6. They gave me more drugs to move this along.
My midwife came in at 12:30 am on January 12th and told me that I was to be ready to push in about 15 minutes as I was dilated to a 10 and ready to go.
I was shocked, with Chloe I was laboring for HOURS.
I gave about 6 good sets of 3-4 pushes and 26 minutes later, Ethan Scott entered the world.
He weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. The exact length of his big sister.
He was MUCH easier then Chloe. With Chloe was was pushing for almost 4 hours. Needless to say, I was terrified to start the pushing process.

So there you have it, Ethan is here and we love every moment. Chloe is adjusting beautifully and loves being a big sister. She is my little helper and I can't believe how much this has turned her into an even bigger "little girl." She makes me beyond proud. I am so honored to be her Mommy.
I will try and get as many pictures up as possible. My time on the computer is very limited these days.
